Upcoming Events - November 2007
We’ve got some exciting events coming up over the next four or five weeks here in Miami. First up we’ve got the first Facebook Developer Garage Miami on November 10 at UM. Then we’ve got an exciting November Refresh meetup on the 28.
Facebook Developer Garage Miami
November 10, 2007 at 10AM come join other developers and programmers for a few hours as we discuss the Facebook platform and all of its intricacies. We will cover topics ranging from building applications, to marketing them, and monetizing them. We should have a bunch of free shwag from facebook, some free pizza and drinks, and lots of interesting discussion.

November we will be featuring Mike Gowen of Scrapblog, who will be giving a presentation entitled “Design by subtraction.” This event will be held November 28 at 7:30PM Location is to be determined, likelyhood is going to be at UM School of Communication.

October 2k7 Refresh
We’ll be holding the October meetup on the 24th, at Umiami’s school of communications. Tentative topics include ethical/whitehat SEO, SEM, PPC, and SMO. So if you are at all interested in learning about the latest trends in marketing your sites/products in a smart and safe manner, come on b.

Refresh September
We will be holding our monthly meetup Wednesday September 19, 2007 at 7:30PM at Books and books in coral gables. The location is 265 Aragon Ave, Coral Gables, FL 33146.
There is no speaker this month, but we will be having some lively conversation and there will be plenty of drinks and food for sale at the venue.

Sorry for the late posting here; if you’re a member of the RefreshMiami mailing list on Google Groups, you would have heard about this a few days ago. So our August meetup is on for Wednesday August 29th at 7:30PM over at UM’s school of communications.
Topics will include:
- The Social Graph: what it is and why it’s significant
- Social Object 101
- Marketing through the social graph
- Monetizing the social graph (facebook platforms and more)

Hey guys, August is fast approaching, and I wanted to give you all the heads up in advance this time. RefreshMiami is scheduled for August 29, 2007 over at UM school of communications. We are still looking for volunteers interested in speaking, so don’t be shy.

RefreshMiami Summer Edition
We’ll be holding our RefreshMiami meeting tomorrow night at 7:30pm at Books & Books in Coral Gables. We’ll summarize the CommunityNext Viral conference and the Ypulse Mashup 2007 teen marketing conference. We’ll also discuss the “cult of the amateur”, as suggested by Jorge Barroso, and other topics that may come up. All this over a coffee, tea or beer ![]()

Refresh June
Hey everyone,
Our June meetup will be this wednesday, June 20, 2007 at 7:30PM at UM’s School of communication room #2056. Our very own podcast star Chris Saylor of theweb2.0show will be speaking about Ruby on Rails. He’ll be giving a lot of intro pointers, background info, and more. So its bound to be an exciting meetup and we hope to see you all there!

As a follow up to last week’s post, Ad:Tech Miami is coming June 22.
